    Description

    IDF 55th Parachute Brigade. Six-Day War – Jerusalem 1967

The 55th Parachute Brigade played a fundamental role in the Six-Day War, as they liberated Jerusalem, as their commander, Colonel Mordechai Gur, had promised at dawn on June 6, 1967. After fierce house-to-house fighting against Jordanian army troops, the Holy City was finally back in the hands of the Israelis, thanks to the courage and experience of this unit, which had experienced frontline combat in previous years in the surrounding Arab territories. These soldiers known as “Tip of The Spear Brigade” wrote with their blood a page of glory in the history of the State of Israel.
